Amie Banting,  Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist and Team Lead

Amie developed an interest in Dentistry at a young age encouraged by her late father’s career as a Dentist.  Amie’s early years were spent in her father’s practice completing administration tasks and Dental Assisting.  Amie graduated from the Dental Hygiene Diploma program in 2003 from The Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene located in Hamilton, Ontario.

Amie received notification from the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board in June of 2003 and began clinical Dental Hygiene practice with her father (late) Dr. R.W. Banting. In March 2006, Amie graduated from the Restorative Dental Hygiene program with an honors designation at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario.

In June of 2018, Amie Banting Dental Hygiene Professional Corporation O/A Heritage Dental Hygiene will celebrate 10 years of successful business, and Amie will celebrate 15 years of clinical dental hygiene practice. In September 2013, Amie received the status of Mentor from The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario. Amie is a good standing member of The Canadian Dental Hygiene Association and The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.  Amie also completed the Culinary Nutrition Expert program with The Academy of Culinary Nutrition in Toronto in 2013. In February 2015, Amie was selected by the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association to sit on the Independent Practice Advisory Committee, and the National Service Code Committee and she actively holds both positions today.

Amie has successfully fund-raised for the CIBC Run for the Cure in 2015 and 2016. Together with her team “Amie’s Advocates”, $9000.00 has been raised for breast cancer research, a cause close to Amie’s heart.

Amie lives with her husband and two cats in Niagara Falls. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, exercise and being outdoors. Amie is also an advocate for health and wellness and strives to keep current on research on systemic health issues.

Stacey Jackson, Registered Dental Hygienist

Stacey is a native of the Niagara Region who graduated from the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene in Hamilton in 2009. After graduation, she spent two years practicing in Edmonton, Alberta where she completed a course in Local Anaesthetic for the Dental Hygienist at the University of Alberta. Happy to return to Niagara in 2012, Stacey began working in a general practice in St Catharines, and in 2014 joined a periodontics office part-time. She continues to expand her skill set through this specialty practice. In 2013 and 2014 Stacey also participated in two eye-opening dental mission trips to Jalapa, Guatemala and the surrounding area, bringing dental care to those who would not otherwise have access.

Stacey is passionate about working hard to provide effective dental hygiene services while educating her clients so that they may understand their own dental health. Stacey completed her Certification of Self Initiation for the Dental Hygienist through the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association in 2013 and is pleased to put this qualification to work as an independent practitioner at Heritage Dental Hygiene.

In her spare time, Stacey participates in the St. Catharines Recreational Rowing League in the summer and enjoys alpine sports in the winter. At home, she can usually be found cooking or tending to the garden.
