Amie's Breast Cancer Journey # 20 August 27, 2015

Ready to go with my cat Penny to see me off

Today I am off to the Walker Family Cancer Center for round 3 of chemotherapy! Looking at the attached photo my cat Penny can hardly believe that it is time for round 3.  I packed a tomato sandwich to take with me today. Once the chemotherapy medication entered my body, I was asking my mother to purchase me a 10 pack of timbits.  I could not even think about eating the tomato sandwich, my body said no!   When I arrived at the clinic I was offered my usual window seat. I had a slight feeling of anxiety.  I really wanted the infusion process to go by fast so I could go home.  I think I was anxious because I know what I am in for. The infusion took the usual 2 ½ hours.  The nurses were wonderful today.  I can’t thank them enough for making my chemotherapy treatments bearable and comfortable.
