Amie's Breast Cancer Journey # 25 October 8, 2015

Today was a nice sunny day to go for Round 6 of chemotherapy. I am mentally prepared to spend about five hours in the chemotherapy chair. With my right arm attached to the IV unit.   I will have my patience tested. At times during the infusion my feet begin to go numb. It is difficult to read or move around while being hooked up to the chemotherapy drip. My blood pressure has been very low. Scary low. I am tired and weak. The Oncology team suggested that I take in more salt and water during my infusion. Off my mom went to purchase pretzels and salt and vinegar chips. I ate the chips and pretzels. I walked around the chemotherapy suite slowly and carefully. I was prescribed medication to help with the bone pain that this particular chemotherapy drug leaves behind. By the time my infusion was done my blood pressure was still low but I was able to go home and get ready for the side effects.
