Amie's Breast Cancer Journey #4 June 20, 2015

I slept through the night last night. I had the most wonderful nurse who woke me up every few hours to check on me. I believe I was give a morphine drip to help with pain management. It must be working because I don’t feel any pain. I feel a tightness around my chest almost like someone or something is sitting on my chest. Paul arrived around 6:00am this morning it was really great to see him. Paul and the nurse helped to get me up to the washroom. I am feeling weak because I have not eaten since Thursday evening. My brother had brought me a tea biscuit from Tim Hortons and Paul began to break off the smallest pieces to feed me. Breakfast was delivered. I am not able to lift my arms to my mouth I think it is because I am tired so Paul spoon fed me jello and eggs. I immediately perked up. It felt great to eat again. Throughout the morning I was checked on by the nurses. My discharge papers were arranged and with a few instructions I was heading home around 1:00pm. Here is a picture of my mom and I heading home.
