Amie Banting
Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist

 

Amie developed an interest in Dentistry at a young age she was encouraged by her late father's career as a Dentist.  Amie's early years were spent in her father's dental practice completing administration tasks and Dental Assisting.  Amie graduated from the Dental Hygiene Diploma program in 2003 from The Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene located in Hamilton, Ontario. 

 

Amie received notification from the National Dental Hygiene Certification Board in June of 2003 and began clinical Dental Hygiene practice with her father (late) Dr. R.W. Banting.  In March 2006, Amie graduated from the Restorative Dental Hygiene program with an honors designation at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario.  

 

In June of 2020, Amie Banting Dental Hygiene Professional Corporation O/A Heritage Dental Hygiene will celebrate 11 years of successful business, and Amie will celebrate 17 years of clinical dental hygiene practice.

 

In September 2013, Amie received the status of a mentor from The College of Dental Hygienists Of Ontario.  Amie is a good standing member of The Canadian Dental Hygiene Association and The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.  Amie has held a position on the Canadian Dental Hygiene Associate Independent Practice Advisory Panel since 2015. 

Amie completed the Culinary Nutrition Expert program with the Academy of Culinary Nutrition in Toronto in 2013.  In February of 2015, Amie was selected by the Canadian Dental Hygiene Association to sit on the Independent Practice Advisory Committee, and the National Service Code Committee and she actively holds both positions today. 

 

Amie has successfully fundraised for the CIBC Run for the Cure in 2015 and 2016.  Together with her team "Amie's Advocates", $9000.00 has been raised for breast cancer research, a cause close to Amie's heart as she is a survivor. 

 

Amie lives with her husband and two cats in Niagara Falls.  Outside the office, she enjoys learning, exercise and being outdoors.  Amie is an advocate for health and wellness and strives to keep current on research associated with systemic health issues.
